Ich kann kein Feuer machen. Aber eine BBQ-Sauce hab ich. Wenigstens etwas.
Ich kann keine Fahrradreifen flicken. Und ich kann kein Feuer machen. Letzteres möchte ich in meinem Leben noch lernen, denn:
Grillen gehört für mich zu den schönsten Aktivitäten im Sommer. Egal ob am Strand, auf dem Balkon oder im Garten. Feuer hat etwas Archaisches, es riecht wunderbar und die Röstaromen machen Gemüse, wie Fisch und Fleisch zu einer Köstlichkeit.
Leider ist es nur so: Ich war nicht bei den Pfadfindern und mein Vater konnte auch keine Reifen flicken. Entschuldige, Papa, aber isso. Daher scheitere ich meistens beim Versuch das Feuer anzuwerfen….Es ist nicht so, dass ich es nicht versucht hätte. In den 5 Malen, in denen ich Herrin des Feuers sein mußte, ging es drei Mal schief. Die kack Kohlen wollen einfach nicht brennen. Die zwei Male, in denen es funktionierte (sogar am Strand!! Ihr habt richtig gelesen)…keine Ahnung, was ich da anderes gemacht habe.
Herren der Schöpfung oder auch natürlich Frauen: Bitte verratet mir das Geheimrezept für ein schönes Feuerchen zum Grillen! Ich verrate Euch dann das Rezept für eine sensationelle BBQ-Sauce. Ehrlich.

Was mache ich falsch?
Wenn ich schon keine Reifen flicken kann, will ich meinem Sohn wenigstens beibringen wie man ein anständiges Feuer macht. Denn das mit den Reifen wird mir ein Dorn im Auge bleiben. Dann lieber Feuer machen.
R E Z E P T
BBQ Sauce
Zwiebel, Knoblauch und Chilischote fein hacken. Zwiebel und Knoblauch in Rapsöl andünsten. Chili dazugeben. Mit Whiskey ablöschen. Die restlichen Zutaten dazugeben und bei mittlerer Hitze etwa 30-40 Minuten ohne Deckel köcheln lassen. Umrühren nicht vergessen.
1 Glas (à 400 ml) oder 2 Gläser (á 200 ml) sterilisieren und die Sauce heiß darin abfüllen.
Die Sauce hält sich gekühlt etwa 2 Monate.

Es gibt da ein tolles Hilfsmittel: Nennt sich Anzündkamin. Damit kann man nichts falsch machen und die Kohlen glühen (fast) wie von alleine!
